Synology NAS Tip: Reviewing the MD5 Checksum function in File Station

In this video we take a look at a function we found when we reviewed File Station on our Synology NAS. MD5 Checksum is a function that might be useful to anyone who needs to check to see if a file has been altered or become corrupted.

However, please note that MD5 Checksum is no longer considered to be a secure method for identifying if a file has been purposefully and maliciously altered.
