Synology NAS tip – How to control which destination volume is use when installing a package

When installing packages onto a Synology NAS. If you have multiple volumes, by default you will see a wizard which will allow you to control which volume a package is installed onto.

However, by ticking the option “Always install new packages on this volume in the future”. You will set all packages to install automatically onto a specific volume. As this action in some instances will remove the setup wizard from being displayed when we install packages. In this video we take a look at the setting which will restore the setup wizard and allow us to choose a volume to install a package onto.
