In this series of video’s we take a look at how you perform a basic setup and configuration of a Synology, Network Attached Storage (NAS) device. The aim of this series is to offer a reference point to help you build your own home network.
In our previous video we reviewed the hardware and physically connected the NAS to our home network. So in this video, we take a look at installing the DiskStation Manager onto a blank hard drive. We then run through the initial setup process to connect the NAS to a network.
Please note that during the video we skip the setup of Quick Connect and the Recommended Packages. We will be covering both of these options in future videos.
